About
Naemi Joy’s musical career started with the violin at the age of six, where she went on to play in several orchestras throughout her school life. When she was 12 years old, she watched “Sister Act 2” and immediately became infected by singing. Fast forward a few years later, and now with a professional vocal education, she sang in several choirs in San Diego, California, Lübeck, Germany and Sydney, Australia.
Throughout the subsequent years Naemi, now as a solo artist, gained stage experience worldwide, and took part in several studio productions and projects like “Classic meets Pop” (2015) or “Christmas Gospel Night mit Chris Lass”(2015). In 2012 Naemi started a collaboration with Thomas Lemmer and Motif. As a result of the collaboration with Motif, she released her first single “One more time”. For Thomas Lemmer’s album “Still” (2013) and “Still Remixed” (2014) she wrote and recorded 5 songs. “White Room” and “Dive”, two of those songs have been aired on several radio stations such as N-Joy, Klassik Radio or NDR.
In 2015, Naemi Joy finished her BA in Popular Music & Education (Pop-Vocals) at “Institut für Musik” in Osnabrück, but has been working as a vocal coach for several years now.
In May 2016 Naemi Joy released her first Solo-EP „Never Stop“ (Singer/Songwriter Pop). Preview HERE. The EP’s online release will be June 15th.
Currently Naemi plays at weddings and a few Solo & Duo gigs but is working towards a tour throughout Germany & Europe starting in Fall 2016.
